Kids & Teens Programs
We offer programs ranging from summer camps and after-school enrichments to college essay workshops to help nurture young writers' creativity. Our supportive environments foster social and emotional learning and strengthen literacy and writing skills.
From Elementary to College: Our Youth-Focused Programs
The Harvey Milk Center's seasonal shift to summer youth programs and becoming parents inspired us to expand our offerings to children and teens.
Every summer, we create nurturing environments for aspiring young writers.
Summer Camps with SF Rec & Park
Each June, we partner with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department to offer creative writing and storytelling programs at the Harvey Milk Summer Camp for the Arts (ages 8-11) and Young People's Teen Musical Theatre Camp (ages 12-17).
After-School Enrichment Programs
During the school-year we partner with the San Francisco Unified School District to provide creative storytelling workshops for 2nd to 5th graders at New Traditions Elementary School. Interested in having Creative Writing after-school enrichment at your child's school? Let us know.
Starting in the second week of August, we have a Teen Creative Writing Summer Camp that welcomes public and private school students from across the city.

Thank you again, Ms. Kostoulas, for offering this camp. My son had a great time, and I would love to hear more about your upcoming after-school workshops!
